Note #17

We occupied our regular near-the-back-of-the-sanctuary pew in church this morning. From this vantage point, my eyes rested on a dear lady whom I've admired for many years. This week's note is addressed to her.

Dear Jolene,

From the back of church today, I watched you worship with your family. Over the years, I've observed your willingness to work hard, not only on the farm, but at numerous community, school, and church events. I've heard your sympathetic voice at funerals and witnessed your healing touch at the hospital. You seem to know just the right time to share a smile and a kind, caring word of encouragement. Resilience seems to be your middle name, and a strong faith in God is your anchor. I am privileged to call you "friend."

FROG,
Jill
