Note #32

"I could just sit around making music all day long
As long as I'm making my music ain't gonna do nobody no harm
And who knows maybe I'll come up with a song
To make people want to stop all this fussing and fighting
Long enough to sing along.

I believe in music
I believe in love
I believe in music
I believe in love
--Lyrics to "I Believe in Music" by Mac Davis

Ever since I was a small child, music has held a special place in my life. Several of my previous notes have addressed this love for music. Today's note is no exception. It's written to my friend, Gloria.

Dear Gloria,

You and I have enjoyed so many musical highlights over the years. Thank you for broadening my horizons by asking me to accompany the Andrews Sisters. Performing 40's music with the three of you was so rewarding and fun! Of course, Elf Jill also enjoyed playing the keyboard for Mrs. Claus prior to Christmas. I'm convinced "people who believe in music are the happiest people I've ever seen."

I bet you agree!
Jill

"Music is love and love is music if you know what I mean
People who believe in music are the happiest people I've ever seen
So clap your hands and stomp your feet and shake those tambourines
Lift your voices to the sky tell me what you see.

I believe in music
I believe in love
I believe in music
I believe in love."
